The Foreign Ministry issued a heightened caution advisory on Sunday for Israelis in Greece ahead of demonstrations and rallies expected to take place at dozens of locations across the country against the backdrop of the war in Gaza.
Among other recommendations, Israelis were advised to stay away from gatherings, conceal Israeli and Jewish identifiers, and refrain from posting their location on social media in real time.
The protests are expected to take place in Athens, Thessaloniki, on the islands, and at various tourist destinations.
Large-scale protests and public disturbances expected across Greece
Given the expected scale of the protests and the possibility of large gatherings and public disturbances, the Foreign Ministry called on Israelis to exercise increased vigilance and avoid any friction or confrontation with protesters.
Israelis were also asked to follow announcements from local authorities and media outlets, keep mindful of developments, and comply with instructions from local security forces.
