In 1952, the first Women’s Division delegation arrived in Israel, marking an early and powerful demonstration of women’s leadership. Golda Meir, one of Israel’s founding figures and later its Prime Minister, was a passionate champion of Israel Bonds who recognized its critical importance, stating that “the central role in building Israel's economic strength has been played by Israel Bonds.”

Other influential women quickly joined the effort, lending their voices, credibility, and leadership to this historic mission. Eleanor Roosevelt, former First Lady of the United States, publicly purchased Israel bonds, signaling to the world that support for Israel was both vital and trustworthy. Paula Ben-Gurion, wife of Israel’s first Prime Minister, reinforced that Israel Bonds were not simply a financial tool but a national priority. Their participation helped inspire countless others, setting a precedent for women to actively shape Israel’s economic future.

Women participate not only as individual investors but also as advocates, community leaders, and role models through Israel Bonds’ National Women’s Division, which engages women investors and empowers young women to become financial and civic leaders.
