Ability Computer and Software Industries and two company officials were indicted in the Rishon Lezion Magistrate’s Court under a plea agreement over alleged violations of Israel’s defense-export controls involving approximately NIS 35 million.

The State Attorney’s Office said Tuesday that the defendants were charged with aggravated smuggling offenses linked to alleged violations of the Defense Export Control Law, as well as unlicensed defense marketing.

The company was also charged with money laundering, while one of the officials was charged separately with a tax offense.

Extensive joint investigation

The case followed a joint investigation involving the Defense Ministry’s Director of Security of the Defense Establishment, Lahav 433’s Serious and International Crime Unit, and Tax Authority investigators.

A court-ordered publication ban remains in place over the indictment’s contents and other details of the case beyond those released by the prosecution.
