A suspected car ramming terror attack occurred at the Efrat Junction in the West Bank on Saturday night, the IDF announced.

Later the IDF stated that, prior to the event, dozens of Israeli Jewish rioters had blocked roads in the area, forcing Palestinian cars to turn around and throwing rocks at their vehicles.

In some cases, Army Radio also reported, the rioters had also performed unauthorized searches of the Palestinians' vehicles.

Rioter run over as Palestinians flee

According to the IDF, as the Palestinian drivers fled, one of the rioters had been run over, leading to them being lightly wounded and taken to the hospital for treatment.

Army Radio also reported that some security forces who had been in the vicinity of the event at the time had made no effort to stop the rioters' actions, and according to witnesses were seen speaking to them without arresting them.

The suspect was apprehended shortly afterwards, the IDF announced, and taken in for questioning.
