Over the past week, the IDF has operated continuously across all four of Israel’s fronts in order to protect the state and its citizens.

In southern Lebanon

In southern Lebanon, the IDF conducted four precise strikes against Hezbollah terrorists, striking three of the terror group’s command centers, and dismantled an underground terror tunnel located in the village of Majdal Zoun.

On Sunday night, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz revealed that the 200-meter terror tunnel had been destroyed.

Located at a depth of over 25 meters, it contained hundreds of weapons and several shafts from which rockets would be launched towards Israel, according to Netanyahu and Katz's statement.

The IDF had at the time announced that the demolition mission was carried out by forces from the 551st Brigade in coordination with Yahalom Combat Engineers.

In the Gaza Strip

In the Gaza Strip, the IDF revealed that over the week it had killed approximately 20 Hamas terrorists, including those who had invaded Israel during the October 7 massacre and taken and held hostages.

Some of the terrorists had also been involved in rebuilding Hamas’s terror infrastructure, the military noted.

Additionally, the IDF destroyed several of Hamas’s terror tunnels with a combined length of more than one kilometer throughout the Strip, but with a focus on the Khan Yunis area.

Additionally, the IDF completed a three-month-long operation to seal the underground tunnel in which the remains of Lieutenant Hadar Goldin were held captive by Hamas.

The tunnel, stretching 16 kilometers, was sealed with more than 30,000 cubic meters of concrete after IDF troops located its entrance in southern Rafah, near the Philadelphi Corridor, three months ago.

In the West Bank

In the West Bank, the IDF’s Central Command completed dozens of counterterrorism operations, leading to the arrest of over 60 terror suspects.

The suspects included individuals who had planned to carry out a terrorist attack, those affiliated with Hamas, an individual suspected of throwing stones, and suspects involved in the possession and trafficking of illegal weapons.

During these operations, the military confiscated approximately NIS 162,000 in terror funds, five drones, materials used to manufacture explosives, incitement materials, ammunition, and various weapons.

On the western, eastern fronts

At the same time, the IDF continues to operate against smuggling attempts through Israel’s eastern and western borders.

The military is also working to strengthen the country’s defenses along these fronts.
