IDF Central Command Chief Maj.-Gen. Avi Bluth signed a notice of intent to demolish the home of terrorist Duas Hasson, who killed 18-year-old Yehuda Sherman and injured another Israeli in a car ramming attack in the West Bank in March, the military confirmed on Sunday.
The notice of intent was initially delivered on Friday, the military said.
On the day of the attack, Hasson, a resident of the West Bank village of Beit Umrin, drove his pickup truck to a road near the Beit Umrin entrance after hearing that Israeli settlers were heading towards the village.
Hasson then intentionally rammed the rear of Sherman’s vehicle upon seeing it, causing it to fall off a cliff. Sherman and another passenger were ejected from the vehicle, resulting in Sherman's death.
Terrorist indicted for murder, additional charges
Hasson was indicted for Sherman's murder on May 14, with additional indictments for intentionally causing the death of two others, obstruction of justice, and possession of weapons without a permit.
Prosecutors asked the court for an extension of Hasson's detention until legal proceedings conclude.
