Iran said it had conducted "defensive strikes" against US-linked targets and accused the US of violating the memorandum of understanding between the two countries on Saturday, following US strikes on Friday.

According to a statement from Iran's Foreign Ministry, the US attack on Iran, and an alleged attack on Lebanon "in coordination with the United States," are both violations of the ceasefire agreement and led to Iran's strikes.

Iran also warned Gulf countries not to allow their territory or facilities to be used to aid attacks on Iran.

Bahrain condemns Iranian drone attacks

Bahrain's Foreign Ministry released a statement condemning an attack of several Iranian drones against its territory on Saturday and accusing Iran of violating the ceasefire agreed to in the memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran.

The ministry stated that Iran's attacks, while international efforts were moving towards de-escalation, displayed "its disregard for the international community and its own commitments."

Bahrain affirmed its right to defend its sovereignty, security, and stability.

This is a developing story.
