I have known every Israeli prime minister since Golda Meir, who famously catapulted me to stardom after I read her mind, but none comes close to the greatness of Bibi Netanyahu.
He has proved it again and again and again.
Bibi has, in my view, helped save the State of Israel and propelled our tiny country towards the status of a global superpower: feared by our enemies, respected by our allies and impossible for the world to ignore. He is Israel’s Churchill. There is no doubt about that.
Political witch-hunt against Netanyahu
And he has done it all while enduring a relentless political witch-hunt, driven by opponents who seem unable to accept that they cannot defeat him at the ballot box. The irony is extraordinary: the anti-Bibi camp accuses Netanyahu of the very failings it displays itself.
It is the Kaplanists who seek to undermine Israeli democracy by refusing to accept the will of the electorate. Netanyahu, by contrast, insists that the people’s choice must prevail.
It was the Kaplanists’ relentless street protests and the spectacle of internal division that projected an image of weakness to our enemies before October 7. Hamas was watching. And let us not forget that the attack was planned while Naftali Bennett was prime minister. Yet somehow, the entire catastrophe is laid at Bibi’s door.
When terrorists flew planes into the World Trade Center, nobody demanded that George W. Bush immediately surrender the presidency in the way Netanyahu’s opponents have weaponized October 7 against him. The Israeli left has repeatedly exploited a national tragedy for political ends.
Bibi Derangement Syndrome
I call it Bibi Derangement Syndrome: a mind virus fuelled by falsehoods, obsessive fixation and an inability to see beyond personal hatred of one man.
Anyone else might have buckled under the pressure long ago. Netanyahu has not. He has carried on with courage and conviction despite relentless attacks from political opponents and a hostile media. That resilience alone tells you something about the extraordinary leader he is.
Just look at the record.
On the eve of 7 October, Israel faced a ring of fire on multiple fronts and was in grave danger. Hamas inflicted a devastating wound on our nation. But what followed was the transformation of the Middle East by Netanyahu. Not by Bennett. Not by Eisenkot. Not by Lapid. Not by Golan.
Hamas and Hezbollah have been smashed, and Nasrallah, Assad, Khamenei, and many more tyrants no longer exist. Bibi ordered it, and the IDF and Mossad delivered.
Bibi has made Israel great again. Arab states want us to be their partner because they recognize a strong leader in Bibi. It is my prediction that many more will join the Abraham Accords thanks to Bibi, including two or three major Arab countries in the coming months.
Bibi fights for Israel, Bibi fights for Jews.
There is something about him that I find almost supernatural: an aura, an energy, a sense of something greater than the ordinary. It is invisible, but I can see it. I can feel it. In my life, I have encountered very few people who possess it. Bibi Netanyahu is one of them.
Call it instinct. Call it charisma. Call it divine providence. Whatever it is, it is rare.
The elections are coming up, and for me, there is no contest.
It is time for us to get behind Bibi. Return him to power. Let him finish the job.
