Iran has recently created the "Persian Gulf Strait Authority," an organization from the Islamic regime that aims to govern the international waterway.

The US Navy spent weeks clearing mines from a route in the Strait of Hormuz meant for the safe passage of commercial ships, warning that the normal route is "extremely hazardous."

The UAE attempted to convince Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and other Gulf states to coordinate a military response to Iran’s missile and drone attacks, but neighbors refused, sources told Bloomberg.

During the US’s Operation Epic Fury against Iran and before the ongoing temporary US-Iran ceasefire, Saudi Arabia allowed the US to fly aircraft from the Prince Sultan Airbase.

The Iranian-flagged oil tanker was struck by 20 mm cannon fire from a jet launched by the US Navy, US CENTCOM said on Wednesday. 

"Our air defense systems and attack capabilities are prepared at a high level which is something which has not changed since the ceasefire decision," the IDF official said.

Iran’s negotiation tactics risk delaying nuclear talks while securing early concessions from the US.

Khamenei reiterated that Iran will defend its nuclear and missile technologies, accusing the US of causing instability in the Persian Gulf and vowing to expel foreign forces.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi flew to Oman, one of the multiple Gulf states attacked by Iran, to discuss the deal.

Iran's Revolutionary Guards seized two vessels, the MSC Francesca and Epaminodes, for operating without authorization and manipulating navigation systems, transferring them to Iranian shores.
