Additionally shown in the documents is Hezbollah’s false promise to join Hamas in its attack on Israel on October 7 due to its fear of Israel’s retaliation, as the Post has previously reported.

According to the warning, Kobi had claimed during the program that Cohen had pushed for deceased Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar to be released as part of the deal to return Gilad Shalit in 2011.

The documents, provided by the Meir Amit Institute, detail the progression of Hamas's secret plans to systematically deceive Israel into complacency before the October 7 massacre.

There is also a separate exhibit item highlighting UNRWA workers who were likewise dual-hat operatives for Hamas, many of whom took part in the October 7 atrocities.

The study, titled "The Strategic Origins of Hamas’s October 7 Attack," was authored by Dr. Daniel Sobelman and is based on top-secret Hamas documents seized by Israeli forces during the war.

Questions are now growing inside Gaza about whether Hamas still possesses the same solid popular base that once gave the movement its legitimacy after taking control of the Strip in 2007.
