After establishing its operations at Haifa Airport, Air Haifa is expanding its activity and plans to launch a new domestic route between Ben Gurion Airport and Ramon Airport. The company announced that, starting at the end of October 2026, it expects to operate up to 10 daily flights between central Israel and Eilat. The flight schedule and prices will be published after receiving slot allocation, after which ticket sales will open.
The move is part of the company’s growth plan, which over the past year and a half has turned Haifa Airport into a regional operational base with a variety of destinations. At Air Haifa, they note that the goal of entering the Ben Gurion–Ramon route is to provide an accessible air alternative for residents of central Israel, Eilat, and the Eilot region, following the significant reduction in air accessibility to Eilat since the closure of Sde Dov Airport and Eilat Airport.
In parallel with the expansion of operations, the company is expected to take delivery of two additional ATR 72-600 aircraft over the coming year, bringing its fleet to eight aircraft. In addition, the company plans to increase its activity from Haifa Airport by approximately 40% during the coming winter, through schedule expansion, increased frequencies, and additional seating capacity.
Air Haifa is also expected to maintain its flexible policy on the new route, allowing passengers to change or cancel flights up to 24 hours before departure and receive credit valid for up to two years.
At the same time, the company continues to promote the extension of Haifa Airport’s runway, a move it says will enable future expansion of its destination network and the launch of direct flights to additional destinations in Europe and the United Arab Emirates.
Air Haifa CEO Gonen Usishkin said: “The planned operation between Ben Gurion and Ramon is another strategic step in our growth plan. After establishing a regular operation from Haifa with volumes and a variety of destinations that did not exist in the past, we plan to bring the same service approach to the route between central Israel and Eilat.”
