Walking on an icon

The Boston shoes by Birkenstock long ago crossed the line between a home comfort item and one of the most talked-about fashion icons of the decade. The classic clog model, which was first launched in the 1970s under the name Kork-Clog, redefined the world of comfort clogs, underwent a renaissance, and became an integral part of the global streetstyle wardrobe.

In the 1980s, the model earned the name Boston, following the brand's tradition of naming models after major cities around the world. The precise combination of a relaxed bohemian look and a clean, ergonomic, and sophisticated silhouette turned it into a cross-season, cross-gender, and cross-trend must-have, starring in casual looks alongside tailored, modern ensembles.
The secret of Boston's magic lies in the combination of uncompromising practicality and quiet aesthetics: A closed toe for an elegant, protective look, and anatomical cork-latex footbeds that became an iconic symbol of the brand, adapting over time to the structure of the foot and ensuring maximum comfort throughout the day. Soft suede versions, especially the legendary Taupe shade alongside neutral earth tones, give it an updated rustic appearance.

These days, Birkenstock, the brand celebrating 50, is launching the Naples Wrapped, a new model inspired by moccasins that combines iconic style with contemporary design. The cultural journey of the BOSTON over the years reflects its universal character and its social and cultural impact. The heritage is reflected in more than 700 models across various collections from the brand, including dozens of comfort clog variations and collaborations with global designers and brands.

The coat that turned into a perfume

What happens when a fashion item turns into a fragrance? The fashion house Max Mara is launching Le Parfum, the first perfume created in collaboration with beauty giant Shiseido, which received an exclusive license to develop and distribute the brand's perfumes and last month announced the global launch of Max Mara Le Parfum. Max Mara took the coat – the item most identified with the fashion house – and transformed it into a fragrance defined as an "invisible coat" wrapped around the skin, enveloping it like a cashmere coat. The bottle continues this design language: Inspired by the brand's iconic 101801 coat, it features a belt in the center of the bottle, giving it the signature coat silhouette. This is not just another connection between a fashion house and a perfume, but rather the translation of fragrance into the tactile feel of fabric, cashmere, precise tailoring, and warmth.

Behind the fragrance are perfumers Marie Salamagne and Fabrice Pellegrin, who created a floral-woody composition, feminine with a slightly masculine twist. At the heart of the fragrance lies tuberose from two sources, vanilla, sandalwood, cedar, benzoin, and a hint of citrus. The formula contains 90% ingredients of natural origin, is vegan, and the bottle is refillable in select sizes.

The 1990s as inspiration

The skin look of the early 1990s redefined the concept of beauty: Minimalist, natural, effortless, and simultaneously precise and polished. Inspired by this iconic aesthetic, M·A·C is launching the M·A·C Studio Radiance Skin Tint Stick – a hybrid product that gives the skin a natural, fresh, even, and radiant appearance.

The product combines deep skincare with precise shade matching. The lightweight formula is based on 73% skincare ingredients, including daikon radish seed and acai extracts, gliding naturally onto the skin.

The brand expanding

The French skincare brand NUXE continues to establish its standing in the hair care world, expanding its Hair Prodigieux® series, which ranks among the top 10 hair care brands in Europe. Now, the line is refreshed with two premium products featuring clean, vegan, silicone-free formulas that promise deep care and a vibrant look for hair. The products: A silicone-free scalp and hair hydrating serum to revitalize the scalp and strengthen the hair fiber. The formula is based on fermented pink camellia oil, hyaluronic acid, and amla extract, granting hair resilience, softness, and a luminous shine; and a leave-in nourishing cream for a silky feel, shine, and an addictive fragrance trail. It provides heat protection against styling tools (up to 220°C). Contains pink camellia flower oil and 93% ingredients of natural origin.

The brand's Rêve de Miel® series is being refreshed with a repairing, nourishing, protective, and strengthening hand and nail cream suitable for dry and delicate skin, containing 90% natural-origin ingredients including honey, sweet almond oil, argan oil, shea butter, and vitamin E. Lastly from the brand, a sheer honey lip gloss with a honey and vanilla scent, which conditions thanks to 97% natural-origin ingredients.

Keren's skin

Keren Bartov is launching Ultra Peptide Serum, an anti-aging serum addressing multiple signs of aging, improving the appearance of fine lines, firming, and contributing to skin elasticity and quality. The formula combines three targeted peptides and hyaluronic acid that improves skin appearance and texture, delivering a smoother, more supple, and radiant look. According to the brand, visible results are achieved after 28 days of use. The serum has a light, delicate texture and is suitable for daily use morning and night as part of a skincare routine.

Yuzu and mint for the body

Looking for a way to refresh? SABON is launching Minty Spark Yuzu, products based on the scents of yuzu, mint, rosemary, and Aqua Mint. The cool, refreshing textures turn the daily care routine into an indulgent, soothing experience. The series includes: Hydrating body gel, body scrub, and shower oil.

The holy trinity

Oktoberfest celebrations, which began in Munich more than 200 years ago, have become one of the most recognizable food and culture festivals worldwide. If there is anything that embodies the Bavarian atmosphere, it is undoubtedly the holy trinity: Sausage, fries, and beer. Here are options for those staying in Israel.

Chef Moshik Roth is launching the first branch of Frankco By Moshik Roth – a premium sausage brand born after a year and a half of refining recipes, selecting choice cuts, and fine-tuning combinations until the perfect product was ready. The secret lies in the double-preparation method: Customer-facing work that begins in the oven and finishes on a hot ribbed grill to achieve a crust. The debut branch, opened in Menora Arena, serves as the brand's first offering. Located in a space formerly used as the ticket booth area, it was re-established as an urban eatery designed to high standards in the brand's experiential language.

On the menu: Chicken sausage topped with pulled meat stew, gochujang aioli, and cucumber-sesame salad; veal sausage with beef ragu, preserved lemon aioli, and fried cauliflower; choripán with chimichurri cabbage, garlic confit aioli, and toasted almonds; and the side dish that will sweep you off your feet: Hot Dutch fries, slow-cooked beef stew, and sauces such as piccalilli, Dutch mayonnaise, and harissa aioli.

If you feel like celebrating at home, Zoglobeck is launching "The Bavarian" – a new premium sausage inspired by the Bratwurst associated with German cuisine due to its light color and unique seasoning. The Israeli version is based on a blend of chicken and beef, seasoned with nutmeg, ginger, and caraway in an attempt to create a juicy, balanced flavor suited to the local palate.

And how can you go without fries? Milotal, one of Israel's largest and leading potato chip manufacturers with a market share of around 20%, is launching Air Crunch – the new generation of quick-prep fries. These fries are made from select potatoes and developed using dedicated technology and processes aimed at achieving an exceptionally crispy result in an air fryer. This is the first product in a new series from Milotal that will feature additional items specially adapted for air fryer preparation.

You cannot complete an Oktoberfest table without beer. The Scottish Company from IsraCo is launching the European beer brand Oranjeboom in Israel with a series of strong beers in three strength levels: 10%, 12%, and 16% alcohol content. The lineup includes: Oranjeboom Premium Epic Strong – a full-bodied strong lager with subtle bitterness, golden in color with a sweet backdrop, balanced bitterness, and a light alcoholic finish; Oranjeboom Premium Super Strong – a strong lager combining sweetness and bitterness; and Oranjeboom Premium Mega Strong – the most powerful in the series, featuring sweetness and a deep golden hue.

Pasta on wheels

As part of an official collaboration with Formula 1, Italian pasta brand Barilla is launching a limited-edition pasta shaped like race car wheels. The release brings together two global Italian brands identified with excellence, performance, and passion – combining Barilla's Italian tradition and taste with the innovation, precision, and adrenaline of the Formula 1 world.

Responsibility on four legs

The initiative for September, recognized globally as "Responsible Dog Ownership Month," continues. The goal of the initiative by the American Kennel Club, founded in 1884, is to raise awareness about proper pet care and education, strengthen the bond and mutual well-being between animals and their owners, promote policies to prevent animal cruelty, and make professional knowledge and resources accessible to the public.

In this spirit, super-premium brand Royal Canin is launching its "Best Start in Life" campaign, assisting puppy and kitten owners in providing suitable care and nutrition from the earliest and most critical stages of life. The campaign highlights the importance of matching nutrition to a pet's developmental stage, breed, and health needs – because choices made at the start can impact health and well-being throughout life.
