Ashdod Port Company reported higher revenue in both the second quarter and first half of 2026, as the port recorded increased activity in several key cargo segments despite a competitive operating environment.
Revenue in the first half of 2026 reached NIS 657 million, an 11% increase from NIS 593 million in the first half of 2025. Second-quarter revenue totaled NIS 326 million, up 12% from NIS 291 million in the corresponding quarter last year.
Adjusted EBITDA for the second quarter was NIS 76 million, representing a 10% increase compared with Q2 2025.
Net profit, however, declined compared with 2025, with the company reporting NIS 64 million in net profit for the second quarter and NIS 76 million for the first half of the year. The company attributed the decline primarily to lower net financing income.
As of June 30, 2026, Ashdod Port's equity stood at NIS 2.772 billion.
Container and bulk cargo volumes rise
The port handled approximately 370,000 containers during the first half of 2026, an increase of 2.6% compared with the same period last year. The port maintained a 37.9% market share of local container activity, measured in TEUs.
Vehicle handling also increased, with the port unloading 54,000 vehicles during the first half, compared with 46,000 in H1 2025.
Bulk cargo volumes reached 4.886 million tons, a 7% increase year-over-year. Ashdod Port held a 51.6% market share in the segment.
General cargo totaled 452,000 tons during the first half of the year, with the company noting that activity in the segment was affected by changes in port regulations.
Investment in infrastructure
Ashdod Port Chairman Shaul Schneider said the results reflected the port's resilience and cash flow generation while emphasizing its role in Israel's economy amid increased competition.
CEO Nissan Levi pointed to continued investment in infrastructure, hinterland areas and equipment, saying the measures are intended to improve service for customers.
The company has been pursuing infrastructure and equipment investments as it seeks to strengthen its operations and respond to changing conditions in Israel's port sector.
