Cybersecurity continues to lead capital raising for Israeli high-tech, with another Israeli startup from the sector reporting news. Huskeys reported on Wednesday the completion of a $27 million funding round, bringing its total capital raised to approximately $35 million since its founding in 2025. The money is expected to be used by the company for continued research and development, marketing, and workforce recruitment.
The Series A funding round for the company was led by the American fund Blackstone, one of the world's largest private equity funds managing approximately $1 trillion in assets. Alongside it, several venture capital funds, corporate investment arms, and private investors participated, such as Skinos Ventures, Merlin Ventures, Okta, Zscaler, actor and comedian Asi Cohen, and mentalist Lior Suchard, who also serves as an adviser to the company.
This is not the first cybersecurity investment for Cohen and Suchard. Last June, it was reported that Cohen was among the investors in the cybersecurity company Aryon. Suchard has been investing in Israeli high-tech for about a decade, after establishing the startup incubator ToDay in 2016 with a childhood friend and joining the US-Israeli cybersecurity investment fund Merlin Ventures in January 2025, which is also one of the investors in Huskeys.
Entertainment stars join the cybersecurity investment wave
Huskeys operates in the field of network security, focusing on solutions for managing and securing agentic traffic (network traffic produced and managed autonomously by AI agents). This comes against the backdrop of estimates that AI agent network traffic will exceed human traffic in volume by 2027 and account for about 70% of all network traffic.
The company explains that incorrectly blocking legitimate traffic could harm user experience and revenue, while failing to block malicious traffic could leave the organization exposed to attacks. At the same time, AI also enables attackers to identify and exploit vulnerabilities quickly, reducing the time window available to organizations for defense. Huskeys' virtual patching capabilities, the company notes, allow for blocking the exploitation of vulnerabilities at the edge layer within minutes, until the code is patched by development teams.
Huskeys targets the security risks of AI agents
Huskeys was founded by 8200 unit veterans Itai Gafni, who serves as CEO, and Roy Weisfeld, who serves as chief technology officer at the company. The company notes that since its public launch, it has expanded its business operations, added new customers, and deepened its activity in international markets.
Among its clients are round leader Blackstone, alongside TikTok, Legoland, Ro, Hugging Face, and additional companies.
Itai Gafni, co-founder and CEO of Huskeys, said: "Five months ago, we emerged from stealth with a vision to build a new network security category for the AI era, which we saw growing rapidly. Artificial intelligence has changed the way the internet operates, bringing with it, alongside tremendous opportunities, new security risks and potential damage to organization revenues. We believe that in the near future, most identities operating on the internet will be autonomous agents, and organizations will require new infrastructure capable of identifying, securing, and managing them. Our investors' trust in the vision, alongside the investment and partnerships we are announcing today, prove that the market understands the magnitude of the change and the need for the new category we are building."
Adam Fletcher, chief information security officer (CISO) of Blackstone, said: "The way organizations secure internet-facing applications is fundamentally changing. AI-driven traffic and edge environments that are becoming more complex and fragmented require a new approach to security management. Huskeys has built a platform designed to operate on any organizational network, from the smallest and simplest to the largest and most complex, while simultaneously advancing a new category for modern internet traffic. We believe the company is well positioned to redefine the way organizations manage network security, and we are pleased to support it in further developing its product in this important category."
