Businessman Yossi Sagol has joined ARCVIA, a company developing small modular nuclear power plants (SMRs) in the United States, as an investor. The investment marks his entry into one of the global energy market’s hottest sectors, following years of activity in renewable energy, including holdings in Econergy.

ARCVIA was established in 2025 by Itamar Serussi and Yonatan Raskin, former senior executives at Energix who led major deals with tech giants Google and Amazon. The two early identified the surge in demand for available, continuous electricity for data centers, a demand that has turned nuclear energy into the industry’s central solution.

The company focuses on initiating SMR projects in demand hubs across the United States. Alongside the Sagol Group, other key figures investing in the firm include Amir Lazar and Avi Khouri.

The investment comes against the backdrop of a renaissance in the US nuclear energy sector. Tech giants, from Microsoft and Meta to Amazon, are in a race to procure nuclear energy to supply continuous, round-the-clock power.

The rise of artificial intelligence and data centers has generated rapid growth in electricity demand, at scales that solar and storage systems alone struggle to provide. Small modular plants, which are built faster and closer to consumers, have thus become a critical, complementary layer of the clean energy revolution in the American market.
