The Jerusalem Development Authority is launching a new tender to provide services for locating, recruiting, and placing new immigrants in high-tech companies operating in the city. As part of the move, the authority seeks to select a professional entity to locate candidates with relevant academic and professional backgrounds, create connections for them with Jerusalem tech firms, and assist them in integrating into the local labor market.

The selected entity will be required to operate both in Israel and in the immigrants' countries of origin, identifying candidates as early as the pre-immigration stage through job fairs, personal counseling, and additional activities. To ensure a professional response, strict threshold conditions were established, including experience in at least 50 placements of immigrants in technology companies in Israel since 2022, as well as conducting 10 employment activities for immigration candidates abroad during the same period.

"Jerusalem is in the midst of a tremendous development momentum, and its high-tech industry needs more and more talented women and men to join it," Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion said. "This move connects two national and Jerusalem missions: Absorption of immigration and strengthening the city's economy and innovation. We want immigrants with knowledge, experience, and ambitions to see Jerusalem not only as a new home in Israel, but also as a place where they can build a career, develop, and succeed."

Jerusalem Development Authority CEO Tzahi Nachmias added: "Immigration is not just a move to a new country, but an opportunity to start a new chapter in life. We want to ensure that for immigrants with skills and experience in high-tech, Jerusalem will be part of that chapter. Alongside the technology companies and entrepreneurs operating here, we also seek to bring to the city high-quality human capital currently overseas."
