A week after the electric Luce controversy, Ferrari returns - at least in Israel - to its roots. The company unveiled the Amalfi at a closed customer event, the successor to the Roma and the most affordable car in the lineup of the exotic sports car manufacturer from Modena. Prices start at NIS 2M for the standard model and NIS 2.25M for the Spider version. Several Israelis have already ordered the new model, and the first cars for them will soon enter production.

Unlike Ferrari’s flagship models, the Amalfi features a front-mid engine layout, a configuration that allows for a more usable cabin with four seats, where the rear bench is intended for children. There is also a relatively large trunk for a Ferrari, with a capacity of 263 liters.

Still, it comes with a 3,900 cc twin-turbo engine that produces 640 hp at 7,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 77.4 kgm. The engine is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch robotic gearbox and rear-wheel drive.

Performance? Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, 0 to 200 km/h in 9 seconds, and a top speed of 320 km/h.

The driver can choose between five driving modes and traction and stability control systems, an electronically controlled limited-slip differential, and an effort to keep the sports car engaging to drive while still making it easier and safer than other Ferrari models, based on the assumption that as an entry-level model, the Amalfi will also be purchased by many customers who have never previously owned a supercar. It also features an electronically retractable rear spoiler.

Inside the cabin there is a 10.25-inch central touchscreen, electrically adjustable front seats with 18-way adjustment, heating, and three memory settings. As an option, ventilated and massaging seats can also be selected, as well as an 8-inch passenger display screen.

In terms of dimensions, the Amalfi measures 4.66 meters in length, 1.974 meters in width, 1.3 meters in height, and has a wheelbase of 2.67 meters. The curb weight is 1,570 kg.

According to the Israeli Licensing Authority, there are currently 16 Ferrari Roma cars on the road in Israel, out of 138 Ferrari models with valid registration. There are also 14 Portofino units that preceded it and 12 California models that preceded both. Regular Ferrari imports to Israel only began in 2009.
