Weekly Spotlight

Around two in five accounts engaging with the most widely shared posts by prominent X news aggregator Mario Nawfal are inauthentic, according to a new ARC study.

Over a 45-day tracking period from Aug. 29-Oct. 12, the ARC analyzed 10,015 unique X accounts that amplified 230 of Nawfal's posts. After auditing, the ARC's detection model identified 4,054 of these accounts (40.5%) as likely bots or fake profiles.

The findings further highlighted the growing weaponization of coordinated networks of inauthentic accounts to spread conspiracy theories, incite hate, and sow social discord, often driven by hostile anti-Western regimes, including the governments of Russia and Qatar.

Weekly Summary

CAM's Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) documented 231 antisemitic incidents globally, a nearly 75% spike from the weekly average for 2026.

Far-Left ideologies were once again the leading motivational driver, accounting for 65.8% of all recorded incidents. Islamist slogans or symbols were observed in 118 the incidents tracked by the ARC this week.

There were 11 incidents worldwide involving threats to Jewish institutions, including evacuations or lockdowns at four Jewish schools.

Europe remained the primary geographic hotspot for antisemitic activities, with the ARC documenting 83 incidents, including 20 in the United Kingdom. 11 were tallied in the capital of London alone.
