Israel Police on Sunday requested the public's help in locating a 16-year-old from Acre who has been missing since late July, after being granted permission by the family to publicize details of the case.
Karim Abdel Kader was last seen on July 20 after leaving his school in I'billin, located in northern Israel near Shefar'am.
Kader has black hair, dark skin, and was last seen wearing a black shirt and matching pants. Police stated that he does not have a phone on him.
Police have asked anyone with information on his whereabouts to either report it to the police hotline (100) or to the Acre Police Station over the phone at 04-987-6808.
The announcement of Kader's disappearance comes days after a separate missing persons case that gripped Israel was solved.
Police locate Mali, Liel Yahalomi
On Friday, police announced that Israeli mother Mali Yahalomi and her daughter, Liel, had been found alive on an intercity bus in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The two left Israel for Prague, continued to Vienna, apparently traveled through Frankfurt, before eventually reaching Buenos Aires. They had been reported missing nearly a week ago after failing to check in with family members after a Shabbos spent in Vienna.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the trip, including why the two women traveled from Europe to Argentina and did not make contact while police were trying to locate them.
Police suspect the two recorded videos for their family in Vienna but sent them after leaving the country, creating the impression they were still there, Ynet reported. The investigation also reportedly found that their travel was connected to personal financial circumstances.
