Police officers from the Modi'in station are currently responding to a public disturbance in the city that erupted during a Military Police operation to arrest a draft dodger, the police announced early on Tuesday morning.

Large police forces are operating at the scene to extract the soldiers and restore public order.

Haredis march against IDF draft in Jerusalem

Last week, thousands of haredi protesters took part in an anti-draft march in Jerusalem, welcoming home haredi draft evaders who were released from military prison.

The march took place in the Kikar HaShabbat area, along the Shmuel HaNavi and Bar Ilan streets in the capital city.

According to KAN News, the march was organized by the anti-IDF draft extremist haredi Jerusalem Faction (Peleg Yerushalmi).

This is a developing story.
