An 18-year-old resident of Umm el-Fahm was indicted on Tuesday for planning a terrorist attack against IDF soldiers in the Old City of Jerusalem and pledging allegiance to the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist organization.
The indictment came after a month-long investigation by Israel Police and the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) into suspicions that the man was involved in serious offenses against national security, maintained membership in a terrorist organization, and was preparing to commit a terrorist act.
The suspect was arrested as part of the investigation, and police searched his home, seizing digital materials and evidence that substantiated suspicions that the 18-year-old was involved in terrorist activity and planning an attack.
This is a developing story.
