According to Israeli public broadcaster KAN News, the incident started inside the shooter's home. When the victim attempted to flee, the shooter opened fire indiscriminately near the local market.
Two people employed at a luxury hotel operating in the area were arrested on suspicion of involvement in the act. As far as is known, one of them allegedly carried out the act while the other filmed.
