The IDF on Wednesday confirmed that it demolished the house of a terrorist who was responsible for killing Netanel Chkroun in a West Bank terror shooting on September 21, the eve of Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar.
The terrorist's residence, located in Bidu in the West Bank, was demolished by soldiers from the IDF's Yahalom Combat Engineers, as well as other soldiers and Border Police officers, the military said.
Additionally, IDF soldiers, along with Border Police officers and Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) operatives, carried out counterterrorism raids across the West Bank, the military confirmed.
During these counterterrorism raids, the security forces detained "dozens" of "terror inciters who expressed support for the October 7 massacre," the military said.
"In addition, they arrested wanted individuals affiliated with Hamas and searched for weapons," the military added.
Security operatives also "destroyed monuments inciting terrorism and memorials to terrorists throughout the West Bank, as part of the effort against incitement to terror," the military stated.
IDF kills two Hamas terrorists in Gaza strike on October 7
Meanwhile, the IDF carried out a strike during the overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday, killing two Hamas terrorists, including one who "exploited hospitals for terrorist activity," and the other who allegedly was "presented to the world as a 'civil defense worker,'" the military said on Wednesday.
The strike occured after the IDF identified two Hamas terrorists exiting Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
One of the terrorists planted explosives that he had brought from inside the hospital with the intention of harming IDF soldiers, the military said.
The military identified one of the terrorists killed in the strike as Muhammad Tammous, who was a sniper in the Izzadin al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas's military wing, and "simultaneously operated as a civil defense worker in the Gaza Strip," the military stated.
"In recent days, the terrorists advanced attacks from within the hospital and operated to restore Hamas’ capabilities, in systematic violation of the ceasefire agreement," the military said.
"The IDF reiterates that Hamas continues to cynically exploit hospitals and medical infrastructure in the Gaza Strip for terrorist purposes, in violation of international law, turning spaces intended to provide care to the civilian population into areas used to advance terrorist activity and restore the terrorist organization’s military capabilities. This activity endangers the civilian population," it added.
