Arab residents of Beit Ummar reportedly set fire to an Israeli vehicle near the settler farm Gafen Ami on Thursday, according to footage shared by United Hatzalah of Judea and Samaria (SSF).

The alleged incident follows an IDF raid on an illegal West Bank outpost on Wednesday, where the military confiscated equipment after Jewish rioters who set out from it entered the Palestinian town of Beit Ummar and set fire to Palestinian-owned vehicles, Army Radio reported.

It is unclear if the incidents are related.

Security forces also arrested two Israeli citizens suspected of involvement in the rioting and violence, and handed them over to police for questioning.

Troops seized about 10 pieces of work equipment, an excavator and an all-terrain vehicle from the outpost, known as Gefen Ami, according to the report.

The raid was part of enforcement action against illegal outposts and of what the military calls an “economic campaign to address nationalist-motivated crime.”

The Jerusalem Post has reached out to the IDF for comment.

This is a developing story.
