Maccabi Tel Aviv traveled to France for its away EuroLeague game against ASVEL, following its final practice at Menora Mivtachim Arena. Maccabi traveled with a full squad, while a decision regarding Jimmy Clark's participation will be made closer to game time.
Meanwhile in France, it was reported that the player intended to serve as ASVEL’s backup center, Frenchman Mathis Dossou-Yovo, will continue to be sidelined and will not be in the squad for the game against the Yellows. Estimates suggest he will be out for several more weeks. Dossou-Yovo arrived this summer from Nanterre after averaging 17 points and 7 rebounds per game, but has suffered from numerous injuries. The 26-year-old joined the team to replace Daniel Theis - who moved to Maccabi after the German reached an agreement with the French club but ultimately left for Israel due to a change in the financial situation - yet has not stepped onto the court due to various injuries.
ASVEL features several other players who missed the team's recent season-opening tournament - South Sudanese player Both Gach, former Hapoel Holon player Nate Sestina, and Myles Cale, who played for Barcelona last season - with their status for the matchup remaining uncertain.
In Dossou-Yovo's absence, ASVEL will rely under the basket on Ukrainian Joel Bolomboy, backed up by young Bodian Massa (2.10 m.).
