Numerous activists aboard the Global Sumud Flotilla have accused Israel of providing little food and water, putting them in cells "infested with bugs," following Israel's interception of the fleets.

Turkish nationals detained after the Global Sumud Flotilla was intercepted will be returned to their home country.

The Global Sumud Flotilla said Israeli naval forces had intercepted "all 42 of our vessels—each carrying humanitarian aid, volunteers, and the determination," to break the blockade of Gaza.

Gaza flotilla leaders are said to have had direct contact with Hamas.
