Questions about Piker, and how close the movement he represents may come to remaking the Democratic Party’s values, hang over Michigan’s Senate race.

Rogers and his representatives have signalled to AIPAC that they would like the pro-Israel lobbying giant to refrain from directly spending in his favor.

“The Rogers campaign has been explicit with us that they welcome support from AIPAC and our members,” spokesperson Deryn Sousa told the Times. 

"This situation is heartbreaking for the community and challenging for the investigators involved," said Lieutenant Ashley Miller, cited in the police statement.

During the lead-up to the primary, Flanagan was vocal about her opponent Craig’s support from the pro-Israel lobby, calling her “AIPAC’s candidate.”
