TV TIME: Two movies present a strong contrast in both their subjects and their styles. Blue Moon, about lyricist Lorenz Hart on Apple TV+, and Mel Brooks: The 99-Year-Old Man on HBO Max.

Hamnet, which just opened in theaters around Israel, is a movie about William Shakespeare’s family that really wants to be about something else.

Fairy-tale expectations are flipped in this witty, high-energy staging of Once Upon a Mattress.

An opening title says that the film takes place in Brazil in 1977, during “a time of great mischief,” which turns out to be a playful understatement.
