Iran has said that it “supports any initiatives that ends the Israeli invasion of Gaza and the ongoing genocide in occupied Palestine, and protects the nation’s rights.”

The agreement was signed by Rosatom chief Alexei Likhachev and Iran's top nuclear official, Mohammad Eslami, at a meeting in Moscow. Rosatom described it as a "strategic project."

Eslami is also Iran's vice president. RIA did not say whom he would meet in Moscow.

Israel largely destroyed Iran's air defenses during the war, and much of its stockpile of ballistic weapons is believed to have been damaged by Israeli strikes.

Iran's strong opposition to the US-brokered Armenia-Azerbaijan peace deal highlights regional power struggles, with Tehran fearing loss of strategic influence.

Western officials say that Tehran feels abandoned by its ally after Moscow began improving the drone model and producing it for cheaper.

The meeting followed talks on Sunday between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ali Larijani, a senior adviser to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Two senior British police officers warned that Russia, Iran, and China are behind a growing number of life-threatening operations in Britain.

“We will have bilateral meetings with the Chinese foreign minister, which naturally has its own importance in the current situation, as well as with the Russian foreign minister,” Abbas Araqchi said.

"Putin would support zero enrichment. He encouraged the Iranians to work towards that in order to make negotiations with the Americans more favorable," a European source told Axios.
