Government forces say their counteroffensive against the Houthi terror group is expanding, while battlefield gains and prospects for foreign intervention remain unclear.

The Houthis struck an airbase in Khamis Mushait and oil infrastructure in nearby cities on Tuesday, wounding 73 people, in one of the biggest attacks on Saudi Arabia since the start of the war.

In a joint statement, the foreign ministers of Turkey, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Egypt, and Jordan said they hoped the move would mobilize other countries to take similar action.

Now there are questions about whether Pakistan or Turkey will respond to the Houthi attacks. Both Pakistan and Turkey have been wary of any conflict with Iran.

Yemen's anti-Houthi military conducted strikes against the terror group in Marib Governorate, Saudi state-owned TV Al Hadath reported on Wednesday. 

"The deal follows all the requirements of the law, promotes non-proliferation and US political interests," Trump said.
