Two State Solution

Anyone with even the most superficial understanding of the conflict knows that a Palestinian state has never been further from coming to fruition than today.

Shigeru Ishiba, Japanese Prime Minister, will skip an upcoming United Nations meeting called to discuss a two-state solution.

Kahn is meant to “build and lead initiatives that cultivate curiosity, civic purpose, and meaningful dialogue - facilitating student engagement with faculty outside the classroom.”

French presidents have aspired to be power brokers in the Middle East ever since France assumed its colonial role there after World War I.

The proposal, initiated by France and Saudi Arabia, was approved as part of the New York conference held in July.

Germany is reportedly planning to support a United Nations resolution on Friday adopting the declaration, led by France and Saudi Arabia.

Blair has been closely involved with the Israel-Palestinian issue for a quarter of a century. His experience of the Middle East is unrivaled.

"Establishment of a Palestinian state would put Israel's security in jeopardy," FM Gideon Sa'ar told his Danish counterpart in Jerusalem.

Anyone who assumes that Israel – or any country – can act as it wishes without consequences would do well to look at the situation through the eyes of others, recall precedents, and reflect.

"I think it will be the starting gun for what we hope to be a sprint, not even a march, towards implementing the two-state solution," said Husam Zomlot, the head of the Palestinian Mission in London.
