Yousef Ibrahim Mahmoud Basheti had been part of a group of terrorists who fired anti-tank missiles at buildings in Gaza in January, 2024, where IDF soldiers were operating.

Those killed include Ali Sami Mohammad Shakra, a Nukhba unit commander who took part in the kidnapping of Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Alon Ohel, Eliya Cohen, and Or Levy.

The IDF's Southern Command continues operations to destroy terror infrastructure and remove threats in the Gaza Strip, killing over 60 Hamas terrorists last month.

The IDF also said it carried out additional precise strikes overnight into Friday against several armed Hamas terrorists in the Rafah area.

The tunnels crossed into IDF-controlled areas east of the yellow line, with the IDF attacking Hezbollah targets in Lebanon later on Thursday.

The project, dubbed by some as "Emirates City," will be constructed by Gaza-based Masoud & Ali Contracting Co, a firm already well-established in Gaza and the West Bank.

The IDF said they found "a large amount of guns, an RPG rocket, and an explosive device that were going to be used to harm IDF soldiers operating in the area." 

Military leaders warn that failure to disarm Hamas could trigger renewed operations even as diplomacy moves forward.

Israeli forces attacked terrorists in the northern Gaza Strip, as well as Gaza City in the central region and Khan Yunis in the south. 

The captured terrorist, Muhammad Zidan, was a senior figure in the Jenin terrorist network, and involved in financing and advancing acts of terror in Israel.
