Veteran catering company Schultz, which has been operating in the institutional catering sector for approximately 40 years, is expanding its activities and entering the private market for the first time with a ready-made food market and weekend delicatessen called Schultz Bakfar (“Schultz in the Village”), which will open every Friday at Kfar Maccabiah in Ramat Gan.

The move marks a shift in direction for the company, which for decades has provided catering services to tens of thousands of diners each day and is now turning its focus to home consumers with an emphasis on premium-quality prepared food.

According to the company, the concept was developed in response to growing demand for high-quality ready-made meals prepared to professional kitchen standards. The culinary concept created for the venue is based on slow-cooked dishes prepared from the morning, carefully selected ingredients, and a combination of Israeli classics with contemporary twists.

Among the dishes that will be offered are chraimeh (spicy fish stew), slow-cooked beef dishes, grilled chicken thighs, meatballs in a variety of sauces, and schnitzels, alongside salads, hummus, Vizhnitz Bakery challahs, and a selection of desserts.

Beyond the culinary aspect, the company also highlights an accompanying social and economic initiative: Each week, the venue will collaborate with wineries, dairies, and boutique producers from northern Israel, providing them with a commercial platform during a challenging period. “We decided to leverage the purchasing power of the new venue to support small businesses from the north,” the company said.

The market will operate every Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Kfar Maccabiah in Ramat Gan. (Kosher)
