A schoolteacher in her 40s was stabbed to death Saturday morning in Tira, a city in central Israel’s Sharon region. Her partner was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the killing and taken for medical treatment in moderate condition.
A person close to the woman told Walla that she was injured while trying to break up a fight. “Two brothers were fighting, and she tried to separate them,” the person said. According to that account, both men also struck her during the confrontation, fatally injuring her.

After examining her, they pronounced her dead at the scene.
