Iran claimed on Tuesday that it had targeted US missile and communications systems across three major US military bases in Kuwait.

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed to have targeted missile systems in Kuwait's Camp Arifjan, a major US military base south of Kuwait City, with surface-to-surface missiles, Iranian state TV reported on Tuesday.

It also claimed to have targeted US military facilities at Ahmad al-Jaber base in Kuwait, alongside an MQ-9 drone hangar at Ali al-Salem air base.

The IRGC also claimed that Iran had attacked US radar, communications, and satellite facilities in Kuwait through missile and drone attacks on Tuesday morning.

Kuwaiti military says Iranian missiles, drones triggered sirens in Gulf state

The claims came following missile and drone attacks on Kuwait that activated sirens across the country, according to a Kuwaiti military post on X/Twitter earlier on Tuesday.

Kuwait's air defense system intercepted the strikes, the army said, adding that if sounds of explosions are heard, they are the result of interceptions. The military urged citizens to continue to adhere to security guidelines.
