An indictment was filed in the Nazareth District Court by the Northern District Attorney's Office following an intensive investigation by the Northern District police into the incident.

Police in Jaffa responded to reports of a violent incident at the entrance gate to a local school when a 15-year-old boy arrived and began arguing with a security guard.

“They chose to stick to the dry law. At this rate, the next murder is just around the corner,” said the family of the prosecution's decision to indict the suspect with murder with indifference.

Three of the teenagers have already been released to house arrest, while prosecutors are expected to request that 10 others remain in custody until the end of legal proceedings.

Even so, law enforcement officials told Ynet that community members claim that such events are “engagement parties” rather than wedding ceremonies, which complicates matters under the law.

Four testimonies included allegations of sexual harm under spiritual authority, with alleged acts described to victims as part of a “spiritual process,” “rectification,” or “special closeness.”

Ramat Gan Mayor Carmel Shama-Hacohen condemned the arson, stating that it was not only an attack on the cafe, but a direct attack on “the character of Ramat Gan as a city of liberty for everyone.”

The case is tied to a broader investigation involving senior officials connected to National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.

The investigation concluded after a two-week manhunt, during which police apprehended all individuals believed to have been involved in the violent altercation.

Among the injured was a 50-year-old man in moderate condition who had suffered a head injury. The remaining 22 were in light condition, suffering from weakness, fainting, and light bruising.
