France is working with several European countries to step up pressure on Israel by imposing coordinated national sanctions targeting individuals linked to violence in the West Bank.

If the Europeans hope their sanctions will bend Israel’s will, they are deeply misreading the Israeli public. Such actions will be used in the upcoming election campaign to bolster the Right.

Thursday's action against Diaz-Canel is the latest by Washington to intensify pressure on the island's communist leaders.

The US Treasury announced on Tuesday that two brothers had also been individually sanctioned, along with the exchange’s chief executive officer.

"This operation took place in the Atlantic Ocean, on the high seas, with the support of several partners, including the United Kingdom, in strict compliance with the law of the sea," said PM Macron.

The rules, published by the State Council, will take effect from July 1. One of the most significant articles requires authorization for exports of restricted Chinese goods, technologies, and data.

During the call, Sharaa said lifting the remaining US sanctions on Syria was an essential step toward reviving the Syrian economy and attracting investment, the statement said.

The decision was implemented in the interest of curbing Hamas violence, according to the measure, which explained that the terrorist organization’s military wings are subject to political leaders

The PGSA condemned the sanctions and added that it considered being sanctioned by “a country whose leader takes pride in piracy” as a sign of “positive performance."
