Europe remains Israel’s largest trading partner and one of its most important scientific and cultural partners. Alienating Europe carries tangible costs.

Europe can criticize Israel, just as Israel can criticize Europe. But when that criticism crosses the line into moral distortion, it loses credibility.

The EU's decision came shortly after Hungary's new Prime Minister, Peter Magyar, was inaugurated. Predecessor Viktor Orban often used a veto to block EU sanctions on Israel.

According to Army Radio, the soldiers arrived at the village of Jalud after the rioters arrived, then stood by their vehicles for around five minutes without taking action against any of the rioters.

Violence by Jews is immoral and illegal, and the authorities are being too lax, negligent, or incapable of dealing with the matter.
