Two of the Palestinians killed by the Israeli civilians were reportedly shot, while a third died of suffocation due to inhalation of tear gas.

The extremists were also suspected to have sprayed graffiti on the walls, writing several slogans such as "price tag" and "revenge".

The case refers to the violent November attack on the Palestinian village of Jaba that erupted hours after security forces evacuated the unauthorized outpost of Tzur Misgabi in the Gush Etzion.

The IDF reported that, during investigations of the surrounding area, a vehicle with Israeli plates was found containing blunt weapons. The vehicle was confiscated by the district police.

The IDF has been active east of the Yellow Line in northern Gaza throughout the month of January, dismantling terrorist infrastructure and targeting known terrorists.

The three detainees were among a larger mob of masked settlers. Two Palestinians were wounded as a result of the incident and were evacuated for medical treatment.

The IDF and border police responded to a report of masked Israeli settlers throwing rocks at Palestinian cars and burning tires near the Shilo junction.

"They stole my passport, my phone, my wallet, my bank cards, and then they left," one of the alleged victims said while describing the beating.

If we want to have the peace and security we Israelis deserve, let alone live up to our Jewish values, we must make the painful effort to cease projecting the blame onto a small handful of youth.

The driver was physically unharmed but Magen David Adom paramedics treated them for shock at the scene.
