A new study by the Ministry of Health reveals a sharp spike in the consumption of ADHD medications alongside a dramatic shift in the types of drugs prescribed in Israel.

Most of Israel is set to return to full activity on Tuesday morning, while several northern communities will remain under partial restrictions.

Only 3% of ninth-grade students who took Israel’s national science exam reached the high standard set by the Education Ministry. More than half were reportedly at a low or medium-low.

This comes after a similar ban rolled out in February in elementary schools.

The plan covers summer school programs intended to address the academic and emotional toll of Operation Roaring Lion which led to widespread, extended school closures nationwide.

The Education Ministry announces the full reopening of schools nationwide, including northern communities, following updated security guidelines amid the ceasefires with Lebanon and Iran.

"As the security situation continues, we will continue to adapt our responses sensitively and in line with what emerges from the field,” Kisch said.

Kisch's plan expands the existing framework called the “Summer Vacation School,” which is run by the Education Ministry and provides state-subsidized summer programs after the school year ends.

In the video, one of the individuals can be heard shouting at the gate that they are a teacher, before blaming Kisch for the Iranian attack, and that "these missiles are your fault! Protect me!"

Smotrich’s proposed calendar would have schools shift some of their summer vacation days to the month ahead, with the missed learning being made up over summer break.
