Fund management giant Blackstone, the world’s largest alternative asset manager, led a $27 million investment round into Israeli cybersecurity startup Huskeys, the company announced on Wednesday.

The company was founded in 2025 by IDF’s Unit 8200 alumni Itai Gafni (CEO) and Roy Weisfeld (CTO) and focuses on reducing the risk posed by agentic traffic (traffic produced by artificial intelligence models rather than humans).

The company explained that, according to their estimates, 70% of the internet traffic will be generated by AI agents as of 2027, with organizations needing to start to differentiate between legitimate customers using agents and malicious attacks.

“Artificial Intelligence has changed the way the internet operates, bringing enormous opportunities alongside new security risks and the potential for lost revenue,” said Gafni.

“We believe that in the near future, most identities operating on the web will be autonomous agents, and organizations will need a new infrastructure capable of identifying, securing, and managing them,” he added.

Company offers solutions to AI internet threats

The company explained that its Virtual Patching system allows Huskeys to identify when an AI agent is trying to breach a system and generate a rapid response within minutes, while a development team can work on it afterward, once the situation is under control.

Additionally, the company currently works on the development of an intelligent platform that centralizes all the security solutions and products of their clients and allows for rapid monitoring and response.

“Huskeys has built a platform designed to operate across any enterprise network, from the smallest and simplest to the largest and most complex, while advancing a new category for modern internet traffic,” said Adam Fletcher, Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Blackstone.

The company said the Blackstone investment marked its first Early-Stage cybersecurity investment, alongside strategic investments from Okta and Zscaler, and participation from Shlomo Kramer and Yishai Yuval’s Skinos Ventures and Merlin Ventures.

Senior executives from Cloudflare, Palo Alto Networks, Intel, Check Point, AWS, Microsoft, and Google, actor Assi Cohen, and mentalist Lior Suchard also invested in the company.

“We believe the company is well positioned to redefine how organizations manage network security, and we are pleased to support Huskeys as it continues to develop its product in this important category,” Fletcher added.
