The Hapoel Tel Aviv basketball club will hold a special ceremony on October 5 at the Shlomo Group Arena to mark three years since the October 7 massacre.

The club stated: "The ceremony will be held in memory of those murdered and fallen since that day, and in honor of the bravery of those who are no longer with us. The club seeks to pause the basketball routine for a moment and dedicate its home stage to remembrance, tribute, and respect for those who lost their lives.

"During the evening, the stories and memories of the murdered and fallen will be shared, alongside stories of bravery and sacrifice of those who acted for others during those difficult days and sacrificed their lives. Three years after the events of October 7, Hapoel seeks to continue carrying the memory of the fallen and murdered, and to dedicate a moment of honor and remembrance to them here, in this place, which serves as the home of the team and its fans."

Stav Shacham, chairman of the club, said: "October 7 is a day engraved in all of our lives. For us, as a club that is first and foremost a community, there is a responsibility to remember, honor, and pay tribute to those who lost their lives and those who acted bravely during those days. It was important to us to hold the ceremony specifically in our home, together with the fans, the players, and the entire Hapoel family, and to give memory the proper place it deserves."
